"My Mom is Special!"

Isaac completed this worksheet at school. I thought I'd share it because I got quite a few laughs out of it!
1. My Mom is special because: "She is my helper!"
2. I like it when my Mom: "Plays with me!"
3. My Mom can do many things! I think she's best at: "Being silly and making me oatmeal!"
4. My Mom has a pretty smile! I like to make her smile by: "Eating a little bit and giving her a hug."
5. My Mom is as pretty as a: "Book."
6. My Mom is smart! She even knows: "How to make words and to make the day."

Daddy's Fault

The other day when I got home from work, the kids were playing outside. So, I just parked the van on the road instead of pulling it into the garage. I turned off the van and left the keys in the ignition, not thinking it would be a problem. . . as it turned out, it ran the battery down.

Nate and I were talking about it later and I said something like, "I know. It's my fault."

Isaac wasn't really paying attention to us, but he heard me say those few words, and said, "No it's not, Mommy. It's all Daddy's fault!"

They say to teach them while they're young. . .

Open-and-Shut

We have two computers - a desktop that is in the office and a laptop. Lately, Isaac has been playing some games on the computer. He asks to play the computer A LOT. The other day he asked to play, and so I told him to go out into the office and I'd get it ready for him.

He said, "No! Not the office! I want the open and shut one!"

(He was talking about the laptop. . . )
